"While I still think my pictures are autobiographical, I'm widening my scope with this show to include my friends and family, interpreted as fruits and vegetables. Lest anyone think I equate my loved ones on par with a rutabaga, let me hasten to say that I find aspects of my people in the luscious offerings in my neighborhood produce department: nourishment, flavor, energy, liveliness, crispness, layering, sweetness, color and, on Soccasion, a bite that brings tears to my eyes."
